Getting into Nepal by air

One can enter into Nepal from different locations around the globe via various direct and connecting flights. There are many options for airlines to get into Nepal via airways. You can choose the ones that offers best services and competitive prices. Generally, in the peak trekking seasons, the tickets may not be available and you may have to take the option of flying to India and entering to Nepal via roadways. To avoid this, please book your air tickets in advance.

Airports

To date, Tribhuwan International airport at Kathmandu is the only international airport in Nepal. Two international airport – one in Bhairahawa and another in Pokhara is under construction. They have not come into operation till date.

Regarding Departure Tax

The departure tax for flights out of Tribhuvan International Airport is included in the ticket price. Hence, you should not pay the departure tax separately.
