Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Trek takes you to some less-explored regions of Nepal that are untouched by any modernization and helps you get some insightful knowledge on the Tibetan Buddhist religion. The journey to Langtang Gosaikunda Trek starts with a drive to Syabrubensi. From Syabrubensi, we enter into the Langtang Conservation area and pass the forests and villages to Langtang Valley. In the valley, we visit Kyanjin Gompa and hike up to Kyanjin Ri for some astounding views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and other neighboring peaks.

From the Langtang Valley, we descend to Thulo Syabru and hike up to Gosaikunda via Shingompa. Gosaikunda is a beautiful lake that lies at an altitude of 4300 meters in the Langtang region. It is a lovely location to be in. The view of the serene emerald-colored lake is a meditation for all those who live a hectic routine life in the city areas. The lake is not only a stunning location to be at but a holy site as well. As per Hindu mythology, the lake was created by Lord Shiva with his trident when Lord Shiva drank a poison that was built in the process of making syrup for immortality. Lord Shiva drank the poison to save the world but couldn’t bear the burn hence piercing his trident on a mountain to create Gosaikunda Lake.

Amazing Langtang Trek

I did a trip-of-a-lifetime trek to the Langtang Valley in Nepal which was spectacular. Deepak was a great guide; finding all the best guest houses to stay, the best food, and walking at the right pace. He was also good company to talk to which is important on a multi-day trek.

I would thoroughly recommend anyone to go to Nepal; such a beautiful country and people!
