The grand Potala palace placed at the hilltop dominates the entire city of Lhasa. There are other palaces in the city like the Norbulingka palace, etc. One can spend their time visiting these grand palaces of Dalai Lama. Drepung monastery, Sera monastery, and Jokhang temple are other must-visit places in Lhasa. These places are full of artistic beauty, statues, and valuable paintings.

After some wonderful days in Lhasa, Lhasa Everest Base Camp tour follows a road full of spectacular mountain views, stunning landscapes, glaciers and lakes with the reflection of Buddhist religion all along. Take a scenic flight above the Himalayas to Lhasa. Upon arrival, our Tibetan crew will pick you up at the airport and escort you to a hotel in Lhasa. You can relax at your hotel for the rest of the time. Tonight, at a hotel in Lhasa

Lhasa is a capital city and administrative center of the Tibetan Autonomous Region. The religious, cultural and historical heritages of Tibet are also centralized in this city. Also referred to as the place of Gods, Lhasa is a beautiful city preserved with some ancient palaces, temples, and monasteries. Today is the first day of a sightseeing tour around Lhasa city. You will be escorted to some wonderful places like Sera Monastery, Norbulingka palace, Jokhang temple, and Bakor street. Sera monastery is a large monastery that shelters many monks following Buddhism and its teachings. Norbulingka Palace is a grand summer palace of Dalai Lama that dominates the entire Lhasa city. Jokhang is an ancient temple that is surrounded by Bakor Street, a busy street around the temple. Tonight, at a hotel in Lhasa (Inclusive of breakfast)

In Lhasa, we have so many places to explore. Today, we visit the Potala palace and Drepung monastery. Potala Palace is a grand palace of the Dalai Lama that dominates the entire Lhasa city. The red and whitewashed walls of the palace are distinctly visible from far away. Built-in the 14th century, the Drepung monastery was once the largest monastery in the entire world. After visiting these places, we return back to our hotel in Lhasa for the night (Inclusive of breakfast)

After sightseeing in Lhasa, we head towards our Everest Base Camp Tour. We enjoy our breakfast at the hotel and continue with our drive along Tsango River. We drive up to Khampa La from where we will be rewarded with amazing views of Yamdrok lake and Ningdzingzonka peak. Further, we drive towards Gyantse. Here, we stop to visit Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum. After exploring the monasteries, one and a half hours drive more will lead us to Shigatse. Tonight, at a guesthouse in Shigatse (Inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

We wake up early in the morning and visit Panchen Lama’s Tashihumpu monastery in Shigatse. Then we return back to the guesthouse for breakfast. After breakfast, we continue with our drive. We drive along a stunning landscape and ascend up to Gyatchula pass at 5200 meters. Further, we drive to Xegar for an overnight stay. Tonight, at a guesthouse in Xegar (Inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Today is an adventurous day of our tour as we will be facing the grandeur of the mighty Mt. Everest. We take a local bus that will drive us to Everest Base Camp via Rongbuk. As we move ahead to the base camp, we will be rewarded with some incredible views of mountains that include Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Chomolungma (Tibetan side of Mt. Everest), Mt. Shishapangma, etc. From the base camp, we relish the beauty of Mt. Everest and return back to Xegar. It’s around 16 km round trip to Everest Base Camp and Xegar. We can observe the dry mountainous terrain of Tibet along with the reviving views of Everest. Tonight, at a guesthouse in Xegar (Inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Leaving Xegar we drive towards Kerung. We are almost in the final days of the tour. We drive over Lulang La at 5050 meters enjoying some picturesque views of Mt. Cho-Oyu and Mt. Shishapangma to Kerung. Tonight, at a guesthouse in Kerung (Inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Today, we clear all the immigration formalities at the customs office in border to enter into Nepalese territory. We drive along with the scenic landscapes full of greenery and countryside houses to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel in Kathmandu. (Inclusive of breakfast, and lunch)

 

Before a few hours of your scheduled flight, you will be transferred to the international terminal of Tribhuwan International airport. (Inclusive of Breakfast)
