Detailed Overview

The Kathmandu and Pokhara tour incorporates two beautiful valleys and the major cities of Nepal. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is considered a living house of the gods and goddesses. Though the town is entirely populated with people and homes, the city treasures some fantastic forms of art and architecture built in the medieval period of Nepal. Contrary to the capital city of Nepal, Pokhara is a beautiful, quaint valley that lies in the lap of the Himalayas. This city is a magnificent form of Mother Nature. One can dissolve in the serenity of Mother Nature with lush hills and picturesque mountains all around. So, the Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour as a whole is a real combination of the cultural and natural attractions of Nepal.

In Kathmandu, you can experience the real essence of Nepalese art, culture, and history. Seven out of ten UNESCO-listed world heritage sites are located in Kathmandu. This fact reflects the richness of Kathmandu city in terms of art and culture. The Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour comprises a day tour in Kathmandu, where you can visit some heritage sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square are two ancient palace complexes that were built during the Malla reign in Kathmandu and Patan. Both durbar squares are a complex that consists of palaces, courtyards, temples, and artistic buildings. The woodcrafts, metalcrafts, and stone sculptures in the palaces are a fine work of art and architecture.

The sightseeing tour in Kathmandu also consists of Buddhist stupas like Swayambhunath temple and Boudhanath temple. Swayambhunath temple, also known as a monkey temple, lies on top of a hill and offers some magnificent views of the entire Kathmandu valley. Boudhanath stupa is the largest stupa that lies on top of a three-layered Mandala. Besides these places, the Kathmandu tour consists of the oldest Hindu temple, called the Pashupatinath temple. It is a holy place that holds high value amongst Hindu pilgrims.

Pokhara, also known as the lakeside city, is a magnificent city situated in the lap of the Annapurna massif. The Pokhara valley consists of many lakes, amongst which Phewa Lake and Begnas Lake are the popular ones. One can spend quality time around the lakeside, enjoying the stunning views of Macchapucchre Himal and other peaks in the Annapurna range. You can visit some places like Davis Falls, Gupteshwor temple, and the International Mountaineering Museum in Pokhara. If you have time, you can go to Sarangkot and enjoy some adventure activities like paragliding and zip flyer too. There is so much to explore and experience in the Pokhara tour.
