The Annapurna Luxury Lodge Trek reimagines what trekking in Nepal can look like. This is a journey where the adventure of the trail meets the indulgence of a 5-star experience — where panoramic Himalayan views greet you each morning from your lodge terrace, and fine meals and warm, attentive hospitality restore you each evening after a day of walking. With a maximum altitude of Ghandruk at 1,940 m, this trek is accessible to beginners and experienced trekkers alike, making it the perfect introduction to the Annapurna region for those who refuse to compromise on comfort.
We begin in Kathmandu, welcomed by our team and settled into a 5-star hotel before the adventure unfolds. The following morning, a swift 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara trades the city skyline for sweeping Himalayan panoramas — the perfect way to begin a luxury Himalayan journey. From Pokhara, a scenic two-hour drive through verdant valleys and cascading waterfalls brings us to Birethanti at 1,100 m, where we check into our first lodge and take our first steps into the Annapurna foothills.
The first day on the trail carries us upward to Ghandruk at 1,940 m, one of the most celebrated Gurung villages in all of Nepal. Perched high on the hillside with commanding views of Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak), Ghandruk is a village that rewards slow exploration — its stone-paved alleys, ancient monasteries, and warm local hospitality making it one of the most memorable stops of the entire trek.
From Ghandruk, the trail descends through a wonderland of rhododendron forests, terraced rice paddies, and cascading waterfalls to the charming village of Landruk at 1,565 m. The walking here is unhurried and deeply enjoyable — the kind of trail that invites you to pause, look around, and simply take in the beauty of where you are. We continue the following day to Majgaon at 1,400 m, a peaceful village nestled amid lush farmland where the rhythm of mountain life is felt in every corner.
The trail then climbs to Dhampus at 1,650 m, one of the finest viewpoints in the entire Annapurna foothills. Perched on a long ridge with an unbroken panorama of the Annapurna massif stretching across the horizon, Dhampus is the perfect final night on the trail — a place where the mountains feel close enough to touch, and the luxury lodge setting makes the experience genuinely unforgettable.
Our final morning on the trail is a gentle descent to Phedi, where a comfortable vehicle carries us back to Pokhara. We spend a full day exploring Pokhara city — boating on the calm waters of Phewa Lake, visiting the sacred Gupteshwor Temple, walking past the dramatic Davis Falls, and exploring the fascinating International Mountaineering Museum. Two nights in a 5-star hotel in Pokhara give us the time and space to enjoy the city properly before a short flight returns us to Kathmandu for our final night and onward departure.
Throughout the entire journey, our handpicked luxury lodges are positioned at the most scenic points along the route — each one offering ensuite comfort, outstanding local and international cuisine, and warm personalized service. Porters carry your luggage so you walk freely, and our expert guides handle every detail of the trail so you can focus entirely on the experience.
