Everest Luxury Trek starts with a grand welcome in the Dwarika’s hotel in Kathmandu. It is a boutique-style, five-star category heritage hotel that is best known for its artistic designs and royal hospitality. You can have a wonderful time in the hotel with fine dining along with various other offerings like spa, gym, swimming pool, and many more. After an excellent time at Dwarika’s, you will be escorted to Kathmandu airport for a flight to Lukla. From Lukla, you set for an adventurous journey that goes through dense forests, attractive Sherpa villages, and Sagarmatha National Park, which is home to many rare species of floras and faunas.
Everest Luxury Trek further extends to Namche Bazaar and Tengboche. In Namche, you can enjoy the vibrancy of the town, and in Tengboche, you can enjoy the spiritual vibes at the monastery. The first day marks your arrival day in Kathmandu. Clear all the visa requirements and customs clearance, if any, at the arrival section of the airport. As you come out, you will find a representative from World Alpine Treks waiting for you holding a board with your name. You will then be transferred to your hotel (Dwarika’s Hotel) in Kathmandu. The representative will shortly inform you about the plans ahead.
On the second day, you will be headed to the domestic terminal of Tribhuwan airport for a flight to Lukla. The flight to Lukla in itself is an enriching experience where you will be able to enjoy some wonderful views of mountains. As you land in Lukla, you will meet our other crew members at the airport. From Lukla, we walk down through the trail along with hotels and lodges to Dudhkoshi River. We cross a long suspension bridge over the river and follow a path that takes us to Phakding. We stay at Yeti Mountain Home in Phakding for the night. (Inclusive of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
We wake up early and enjoy our breakfast. Then we follow our trail that goes through an undulating path up and down via traditional villages, fields, and rhododendron forests. We gradually ascend and enter into Sagarmatha National Park with magnificent views of Mt. Thamserku on sight. We pass villages like Jorsale and Monjo on the way to Namche. Namche Bazaar is an old but lively Sherpa village. It is a gateway to all the trekking routes that go to the Everest region. There are many vibrant shops, cyber cafes, restaurants, hotels, and lodge at this time. Namche bazaar never rests. It always gets a lot of visitors and is always crowded. We stay at Yeti Mountain Home in Namche for the night. (Inclusive of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
The narrow street of Namche is always crowded. Do not get surprised if the yak bells and other horns wake you up. Today, we follow a trail that leads us to Tashinga. We pass an interesting way full of chortens, mani walls and prayer flags enhanced with some striking views of mountains like Kwangde, Thamserku, Kangtega, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, etc. Tonight, we stay at an Everest Summit Hotel in Tashinga. Today, we leave the hotel and take a trail that descends down along the Hamlet of Phunki Tenga that lies just beside the Dudh Koshi river. From the river, we cross a suspension bridge over the river and take a trail that goes diagonally up towards the famous – Tengboche monastery. It is the largest monastery in the entire Khumbu region. The monastery not just renowned for its spiritual values but the views of mountains that the surrounding of the monastery offers are simply awesome. Maybe that is the reason why the monastery is also considered as a vantage point in the Everest region. After exploring the places around the monastery, we return back to our hotel in Tashinga for the night. (Inclusive of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Leaving Tashinga, we trek down to the village of Khumjung. At first, our trail gently climbs up and opens up to the village of Khumjung. At Khumjung, we visit a local educational center, Khumjung monastery, and Kunde hospital. From Khumjung, we further head towards the village of Mende. The surrounding of this village is very pleasing and calming. We stop at the village and enjoy the splendor of Mt. Thamserku, Kongde Ri, Mt. Kusum Kanguru, and Kang Taiga around. Tonight, we stay at Everest Summit Hotel in Mende for the night. (Inclusive of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Today, we head for another excursion to Thame village. Thame is a beautiful Sherpa village that lies at the end of the Khumbu valley. The village is very traditional and is untouched by any kind of modernization unlike other touristic places in the Khumbu region. We can interact with locals and get some insights on people, their culture, tradition, and lifestyle. After exploring the village, we return to our hotel in Mende. Tonight, we stay at Everest Summit Hotel in Mende for the night. (Inclusive of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Today, we leave the village of Mende and walk back through the dense forests of rhododendron and pine to Phakding. On the way back, we can get some wonderful sights in the mountains. Upon arrival, we stay at Yeti Mountain Home in Phakding for the night. (Inclusive of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Today, we further descend down to Lukla. We take a well-paved path along with the forests of rhododendron to Lukla. On the way, we can explore the villages and get some insights on local people, their culture, tradition, and lifestyle. The views of Kusum Kanguru will accompany us throughout the way. We stay at a Yeti Mountain Home in Lukla for the night. (Inclusive of Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
We take a return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel room at Dwarika’s in Kathmandu. You can relax in your room for the rest of the day. (Inclusive of Breakfast)
Before a few hours of your scheduled flight, you will be transferred to the international terminal of Tribhuwan International airport. (Inclusive of Breakfast)
